Public and stakeholder consultation is a key component for the successful delivery of a flood relief scheme.  This includes liaisons with statutory bodies and citizens either directly affected by flooding or impacted by the proposed solutions for flood alleviation. Most flood relief schemes will require planning permission either from the Local Authority or An Bord Pleanála through the Planning and Development Regulations and/or the Arterial Drainage Acts.  The planning process has become significantly more challenging in recent years and Ayesa has met this challenge through attention to detail to ensure proposals are compatible with the relevant legislation.
