A Clean Sustainable Water Supply

With a heritage in water that traverses over a hundred years, ByrneLooby has delivered strategic water supply projects in several countries around the globe.  Our proven track record has helped government agencies, municipalities, utility companies, and contractors develop and manage water supply.   ByrneLooby currently sits on the framework for Irish Water, the national utility provider for Ireland.  We provide detailed engineering services throughout the entire project lifecycle focusing on robust, buildable solutions that deliver projects cost-effectively and sustainably.

Our solutions address existing and future challenges such as integrating new and existing assets, demand variance, sustainability and environmental factors.  Our engineers also advise on the sustainable management of this precious natural resource, assisting clients in assessing, managing and optimising existing assets.

Notable projects include the Vartry to Callowhill pipeline that ensures water supply to 200,000 people in North Wicklow and South Dublin.  Currently, we are working on the Saggart Reservoir, a project in the capital of Dublin, which will provide 100 million litres equivalent of potable water storage or the equivalent of forty Olympic-sized swimming pools.  Our close collaboration with the national utility, Irish Water on the tender and procurement process for the Roscommon Water Treatment plant, fast-tracked construction and ensured the scheme’s removal from the remedial action list (RAL).  In Saudi Arabia, our work on the Shuquaiq Water Transmission Scheme included 8km long of large diameter welded steel pipeline, delivering the design and development of a facility which can store 170,000m3 of treated Water.
