Ayesa provided geotechnical and structural temporary works solutions to the contractor (Ferrovial Lagan JV) on the M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements project. The project included the construction of nearly 30 kilometres of new motorway and dual carriageway, including associated junctions and infrastructure. The scheme was divided into three major elements - M8 Baillieston to Newhouse improvements, M74 Junction 5 at Raith and the mainline scheme - M8, M73, M74 Network Improvements.
Ayesa supported the contractor in a temporary works design capacity, responding to ever-changing site conditions to facilitate the construction of the project. Elements delivered consisted of working platforms, plant access designs, traffic realignment, pavement designs, structural support systems, edge protection systems, formwork design and many other temporary works designs. We also provided interfacing with Network Rail to achieve the required approvals from the railway authority.
