The Craven Cottage’s Riverside stand development is an exciting development. The project incorporates an expanded stadium with a cantilevered riverside walkway and public access. Our core expertise in marine resulted in ByrneLooby being appointed to this project. Key to its success were stakeholder engagement and other delivery challenges. The new stand will not only increase the seating capacity at Craven Cottage but also enhance amenities to the ground and locality for supporters, residents and visitors to enjoy. The works have been carried out by the main contractor Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd and involved the demolition of the existing riverside stand, construction of the riverside suspended deck and new stadium stand.
ByrneLooby was appointed by Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd under a design and build contract for all marine works elements of the Riverside Stand. The extension of the Riverwalk now spans over the foreshore. Our design services guided the geotechnical design of the suspended deck piles and the structural design of the precast and in-situ concrete deck elements. We also integrated and supported planning for vessel berth.
