Hampstead Synagogue is a Jewish orthodox synagogue in Dennington Park Road, West Hampstead, London. It is an outstanding Grade II* listed building by prolific Victorian commercial architect, Delissa Joseph. Designed in 1892, it is of unusual octagonal form with a magnificent dome. The building has been extended and altered several times in the past.
ByrneLooby London, as the appointed structural engineers on this project, were able to advise on the modern programme of works which required extensive renewals and improvements, within a conservation-based schedule of repairs. The design featured early in this project involving the innovative use of steel framing, coupled with more traditional cast-iron columns.
