International Ports Services Co. Ltd (IPS), Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is a multi-purpose deep-water facility situated at the King Abdulaziz Port of Dammam, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It operates and manages the container terminal. It also provides stevedoring, roll on roll off (RO-RO) and Reefer vessels. The project comprises design and construction of the following works: quay deck extension, berth deepening and a rubber tyred gantry crane (RTGC) automated yard.
ByrneLooby collaborated with S.J.S Engineering (the appointed Consultant) in the delivery of the project. This included design reviewing all information and estimating work due to their local presence. ByrneLooby was also appointed to provide consultation advice in regards to the required approval authorities and provide information on permits, approvals and marine design. We also advised during the design phase on the required authorisations to ensure the project was delivered in line with client objectives.
ByrneLooby were also commissioned to undertake a visual survey of the project site, providing site supervision of the enabling surveying works and assistance with necessary tender documentation for the execution of the survey works. ByrneLooby added value by providing in-country marine expertise.
