Cork County Council appointed ByrneLooby (Cronin Millar) to assist them in realising their vision for a redeveloped multi-function harbour in Baltimore, West Cork. The redeveloped harbour created increased safe berthage for commercial, fishing and leisure vessels. The redevelopment plan included the refurbishment of the communications (Ferry) pier, extension and redevelopment of the fisheries pier, construction of a new RoRo slipway, capital dredging and construction of a new breakwater structure.
ByrneLooby (Cronin Millar) were appointed as Consulting Engineers for all phases of the project. This included the preparation of a feasibility report, preliminary design, securing of all the required statutory consents, detailed design, tender preparation and construction supervision.
