Cork County Council appointed our Marine Division at ByrneLooby in Cobh, County Cork to assist them in realising their vision for the redevelopment of a multi-functional harbour in Baltimore, West Cork. The Baltimore Harbour Redevelopment plan increased safe berthage for commercial, fishing and leisure vessels. It included the refurbishment of the communications (Ferry) pier, an extension and redevelopment of the fisheries pier, the construction of a new RoRo slipway, capital dredging and the construction of a new breakwater structure.
Our marine division at ByrneLooby in Cobh, appointed as the consulting engineers, was involved at multiple stages during the Baltimore Harbour Redevelopment Project. This included the preparation of the feasibility report and the preliminary designs. ByrneLooby secured all the required statutory consents, detailed designs and tender preparation and supervised the construction of the entire project.
