Our Role
The Arad Bay Hotel Reclamation EIA Project involved the reclamation of approximately 50,000m² of land for a resort hotel, restaurants and greenery on the whole property. Our Environmental engineers in Bahrain prepared an Environmental Statement Study (ESS), in order to address and mitigate possible environmental impacts on the environmental media and surroundings. Detailed flushing studies were undertaken in order to assess the potential impact on the protected area of Arad Bay, which is home to some of Bahrain’s Mangroves and therefore highly sensitive. ByrneLooby is also currently working with the developer to ensure the plot and hotel design are in keeping with the overall heritage character of the area.
