Al Wakrah Logistics City (AWLC) will provide a dedicated logistics hub for the distribution of goods and materials throughout the greater Doha area under the Management of Manateq. Along with the airport and the seaport, AWLC will support a ‘Gateway Triangle’ logistics system for the flow of goods and materials by air, sea, road and rail. The facility forms part of National Logistics Task Force strategy to support the 2022 FIFA World Cup programme requirements. Byrnelooby are responsible for Parcels A and B in AWLC; the combined area of these two parcels is approximately 4.7 sq.km.
ByrneLooby were appointed to design the wet utilities and our scope of work included the foul network (approx. 15Km), foul pump station and holding tank, potable water network (approx. 26 Km), potable water reservoir and pump station, fire water network (approx. 35 Km) and fire water reservoir and pump station. Our role included obtaining design and construction approval from Ashghal, Civil Defence and Kahramaa approval.
