ByrneLooby provided geotechnical temporary works solutions to the contractor (Graham Farrans Joint Venture) on the A6 Improvement Scheme. The project includes the construction of 12km of dual carriageway along the A6, extending from the M22 to the start of the Toome Bypass, and from the end of the Toome Bypass as far as Castledawson in County L/Derry.

ByrneLooby is supporting the contractor in a temporary works design capacity, responding to and developing designs for ever-changing site conditions to facilitate the construction of the project. Elements being delivered as part of the scheme consist of working platforms (crane & piling rigs), temporary access designs, traffic realignments, borrow pit assessment, slope stability checks, structural temporary works designs, existing pavement assessments, haul road design and many other temporary works-related design elements and solutions.
