Our Role
ByrneLooby assisted PJ Hegarty in developing an innovative construction sequence to address the ground related risks associated with the demolition and deepening of the basement. This sequence accelerated the construction of the new “basement-within-a-basement” while also mitigating against the potential for settlement of neighbouring structures. ByrneLooby also acted as specialist designers for P.J. Edwards for the detailed design of the perimeter secant pile wall and pre-stressed tie back anchors, as well and the anti-flotation measures for the permanent works.
