Party Walls: Law And Practice

As part of the ByrneLooby london Seminar Series, we invited Andrew Smith, Partner at one of London’s most established Solicitor firms, Child & Child, to speak for us.

Andrew has specialised in litigation since 1987, focusing heavily on property related litigation, principally, party walls and rights of light, easements and construction disputes. He is widely considered to be the first port of call for specialist advice relating to party walls, rights of light, access to neighbouring land, oversailing licences, rights of way, easements, construction disputes and boundary disputes.  He is also the co-author of Party Walls Law and Practice, Fourth Edition, published by Lexis Nexis.

In the Seminar, Andrew covered the basic fundamentals of a Party Wall Appeal & Injunction Application, his role in recent cases and his new book – Party Walls: Law and Practive (4th Edition, Lexis Nexis).
