BYRNELOOBY APPOINTED TO TRANSLINK FRAMEWORK FOR DELIVERY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES

ByrneLooby in collaboration with Turner and Townsend and OTT (On Track Technicians) have been selected to the multi-supplier framework to provide civil engineering professional design services to Translink, Northern Ireland’s public transport provider for a period of 4 years, with the option of four x 1-year extensions added to the duration. The Infrastructure and Property Division is responsible for the maintenance and capital works of a variety of structures and assets along the Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) railway network. The total value of contracts are worth an estimated £40m up to the estimated delivery date of 1st June 2024.

Aidan McCarthy, Director at ByrneLooby and Lead for the bid commented:

We are delighted to be chosen as one of five suppliers to the framework for the provision of civil engineering design services building upon our successful framework  appointments for large infrastructure projects in Ireland, UK and the Middle East. This is a tremendous result for the team and we thank them for all their hard work. As a multi-disciplined engineering supplier, this is a fantastic opportunity for us to support Translink in their vision to be ‘the first choice for travel in Northern Ireland’ helping deliver their investment programmes with the guiding values of safety, people, innovation, responsibility, integrity and teamwork – values we share within the ByrneLooby group.”

The framework contract commenced on 1st March 2021.
