Biography
John has overall responsibility for the management of the Environmental Services Business Unit, with 30 staff across four offices in the UK (formerly the TerraConsult business acquired by Ayesa in 2019).
John is a Geologist and Analytical Chemist with over 30 years of professional experience and manages a range of multidisciplinary projects in the waste and brownfield land development sectors. He has particular expertise in the development of overseas waste management facilities, regulatory permitting, ground gas hazards, contaminated soil management and development over former landfills.
Recent project highlights include the successful delivery of major landfill developments in the Middle East, including an 18 million m3 hazardous waste complex in Sohar, Oman and a $17 million contaminated soil repository constructed under the Kuwait Environmental Remediation Program (KERP). For these D&B projects the team provided a wide range of services including multidisciplinary environmental studies, master planning and detailed design, construction support and verification. John acts as project director on a number of large landfill closure / remediation projects in the UK as an expert witness.
