Environmental Director – Middle East
Gordon brings nearly 30 years of experience in environmental engineering to his role in leading the environmental team in Byrne Looby. His sector experience includes oil and gas, mining, ports and harbours, industrials, transport infrastructure and power and energy projects including those in the new nuclear build sector.
His areas of technical expertise include Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of large scale multi-disciplinary projects both in the UK and overseas.
He holds a PhD in environment and development from the London School of Economics and in addition is a Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
During his career he has been involved in several major projects including the proposed new nuclear power station at Wylfa on Anglesey, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and South Stream (a proposed 2000 km pipeline under the Black Sea).
