Adam Cronin


Adam brings 25 years’ experience in civil engineering to his role in leading the Marine Engineering Team at ByrneLooby. His areas of expertise are Maritime Civil Engineering, Port & Harbour Developments, Marine Regulation/Consenting, Coastal Protection, and Foreshore Consenting & Management. Adam has taken on the role of Expert Witness for Maritime and Aquaculture cases.

In addition to his Masters in Civil Engineering, Adam is a Certified Project Manager and a member of Engineers Ireland, Institution of Civil Engineers, Irish Marine Federation and PIANC (World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure).

A high point for Adam was successfully obtaining consent for Europe’s first licensed waterdrome for seaplanes. Currently, Adam is leading the team designing the €350 million Masterplan 2040 for Dublin Port, a development which includes a new ferry berth for the largest passenger ferry in the world.
