Danny Glynn

Danny is a Director with ByrneLooby and is responsible for the Belfast office. He manages a team in Belfast who deliver civil and geotechnical engineering consultancy services for projects in Northern Ireland and the UK. This group have particular experience delivering windfarm civils packages, ground improvements and contractor design elements.

Danny is particularly interested in sustainable engineering. A Chartered Environmentalist, he is a part-time lecturer in Geotechnics at Queen’s University, Belfast. Danny is very involved with CEEQUAL, the sustainability assessment and awards scheme for civil engineering and leads sustainable engineering within ByrneLooby.

Danny’s team were responsible for the substructure design for the iconic Titanic Signature Building and the civil engineering design for Glenconway Windfarm the largest renewable project in Northern Ireland. He has led specialist teams on a wide range of projects and was notably Project Manager for the remediation of the 400-acre site at the Maze Long Kesh scheme. Danny has also advised on the design and execution of major infrastructure projects under the Capital Works Programme for the Roads Service.
