The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' was established in 2004 to be responsible for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of all infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar. Ashghal’s key responsibilities include governing the design, construction, and management of major projects including roads, drainage and buildings such as public buildings, schools and hospitals.

ASCO are our joint venture partner in Qatar. They are a Grade A consultant specialising in infrastructure and high level water consultancy. Byrne Looby are working on a number of projects with ASCO to deliver critical water infrastructure to the Qatari market.

Merit are Byrne Looby's geotechnical partner in Libya. Merit Byrne Looby have completed a number of geotechnical projects in Libya. Projects include site investigations and geotechnical interpretative reporting for the 60 storey H1 BAB Trabulus Tower in Tripoli and investigation for the Al Sawawah Misurata project which was a 5000 unit housing project.
