Ground Engineering Awards 2016 Finalist

ByrneLooby were recently announced as a Finalist in the Ground Engineering Awards 2016 for both Consulting Firm of the Year and UK Project with Geotechnical value up to £1 million.

The Consulting Firm of the Year category recognises the geotechnical consultancy, or division within a major consultant, that has continually delivered innovation, quality and value over the last 12 months while growing in terms of revenue, profits and staff numbers.

Entrants had to demonstrate how they have improved their services over the last 12 months and use evidence from projects to show how the business has gone beyond the expected level of service through interaction with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

Key criteria

  • Successful project delivery with details of benefits delivered for clients, stakeholders and community (as applicable)
  • Demonstration of partnering capabilities and collaborative working
  • Development of strong relationship with clients, project partners, stakeholders and the community (as applicable) that have benefitted the business and its ability to deliver work above the expected standard
  • Delivery of growth in terms of revenue, profits, size of projects and staff numbers in the last 12 months

The UK Project with Geotechnical value up to £1 million category recognises a project that stands out in terms of its credentials in innovation, quality, sustainability, health and safety and value engineering.

Key criteria

  • Innovative design to overcome a significant geotechnical challenge
  • Demonstration of delivery of value and quality for the client
  • Involvement with project stakeholders and community (as applicable) to deliver a successful outcome
  • Efficient and collaborative delivery through close relationships with the client and supply chain
