Byrne Looby recently exhibited at the ninth annual Middle East Conference and Exhibition for Oil Refining and Petrochemicals (Petrotech 2014). The event was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister.

The event aimed to increase awareness of technology usage in the oil and petrochemicals industry in order to raise efficiency and production performance, to explore optimisation of energy consumption and to promote cleaner and more efficient fuel production.

Byrne Looby participated in the event as part of an Enterprise Ireland trade delegation. Byrne Looby has significant experience developing industrial wastewater solutions and industrial wastewater reuse and has completed projects at Jubail Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial city for industrial clients in the Middle East. In areas such as the Middle East where water scarcity is a considerable challenge for industry, high water usage in industrial processes is very costly and there is a strong push for great efficiency and water reuse.
