Abu Dhabi Trade Delegation to Ireland

Almost 50 trade and business representatives from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce (ADCC) visited Ireland from 6th-9th April as part of an official trade delegation. The objective of the mission was to identify and explore mutual business and investment opportunities between the two countries. Ronan Duffy, Byrne Looby’s Business Development Manager, travelled to Ireland with the delegation to participate in the trade mission.

The delegation was lead by His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Jumaa Al Kaabi, First Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry and also included other chamber officials, representatives from the business community and the media. The business community representatives came from backgrounds such as

  • Investments / financial services
  • Trading / distribution
  • Healthcare
  • Food & consumer
  • ICT & other technology
  • Travel & tourism
  • Consultancy /other services
  • Education
  • Media
  • Aviation
The delegation had a full itinerary over three days which included, meeting An Taoiseach Enda Kenny at government buildings, B2B meetings with entrepreneurs at Enterprise Ireland and visiting Trinity College. The group also visited the UAE Embassy in Dublin and met with His Excellency Khalid Nasser Rashed Lootah, the First Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Ireland.
