DELOITTE GOLD STANDARD AWARD 2017

ByrneLooby announced as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies! ByrneLooby receives award as one of Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme for the fourth time. ByrneLooby demonstrated superior business performance which was recognised at an awards gala dinner in Dublin on 3 March 2017. The awards event in Dublin’s Convention Centre marked the ninth year of the Deloitte Best Managed Companies awards programme, in association with Barclays Bank Ireland.

ByrneLooby was recently announced as a Finalist in the Ground Engineering Awards 2017 for Consulting Firm of the Year. The Consulting Firm of the Year category recognises a consultancy that has continually delivered innovation, quality and value over the last 12 months while growing in terms of revenue, profits and staff numbers.


Construction Investing in Talent Finalist 2016

ByrneLooby has been announced as finalists in the Construction Investing in Talent Award (Best Place to Work and Best Reward and Recognition Scheme). The Construction Investing in Talent Awards are about rewarding individuals and teams who work so hard to attract and retain the best talent.


Construction Week Qatar Awards 2016

ByrneLooby entered this year’s Construction Week Qatar Awards in the category of Consultant of the Year. The category winner will be announced on Wednesday 28th September 2016 at gala dinner event. The awards seek to recognise and reward individual excellence, corporate prowess and project success.

Entries are judged by a large jury of industry peers, a factor which gives the Construction Week Awards an independent and credible reputation which separates it from other awards programmes in the region.

ByrneLooby has been shortlisted in this year's BCI Award for Wood Wharf Basement and Enabling Works – Cofferdam Wall, London  in the Temporary Works Award (Building) category.

NCE TUNNELLING AWARDS Finalist 2016

ByrneLooby has been shortlisted in this year’s NCE Tunnelling Awards. We are proud finalist in the "Specialist Tunnelling Project of the Year" category for our Micro Tunnel Design Services for Lusail Expressway Project, Qatar.


Irish Construction Industry Awards Winner 2016

ByrneLooby has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Health & Safety Initiative of the Year Award of the Daman Corporate Health Awards 2015. Organised by MEED and supported by headline sponsor, the National Health Insurance Company – Daman, the Daman Corporate Health awards, the first of its kind in the Middle East, aim to promote health in the workplace by recognising employers, professionals and teams for outstanding achievements in enhancing wellness at work.

 

European Business Awards National Champion
For Ireland 2015

The European Business Awards, now in its 9th year, engaged with over 32,000 businesses from 33 European countries this year and 678 companies from across Europe have been named today as National Champions; going through to the second phase of the competition. ByrneLooby has been named as a National Champion for Ireland.

 

CEF Restoration Awards 2015

Byrne Looby has been shortlisted for a CEF Restoration Award with our project partners, McLaughlin & Harvey and Doran Consultancy, for The Gobbins Coastal Pathway. Now in their 17th year, the CEF/Construction Excellence Awards are one of the most instantly recognised, respected and hotly contested awards in the Northern Irish construction industry. The winners will be announced on Thursday 8th October 2015

Ground Engineering Award Finalists 2014

The Ground Engineering Awards are organised annually and attract the biggest names in the civil engineering industry. The awards recognise outstanding projects, and identify companies whose technical skills have stood out in the industry. Byrne Looby Partners were delighted to be named as a finalist for the Consulting Firm of the Year category. This is a considerable achievement and is a reflection of the exceptional work carried out by engineers across the company over the past year.



Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards 2013

The awards recognise excellence and achievement in the engineering profession through a number of award categories. The Environmental Infrastructure Award is for the management of a drinking water treatment facility or a waste water treatment plant that demonstrates excellence in the performance of the infrastructure in terms of value for money, treatment performance or sludge/chemical management from catchment to consumer back to catchment. The winner of the award was the Mullingar Sewerage Improvement Scheme. Byrne Looby Partners in joint venture with JB Barry & Partners were consulting engineers on the Scheme.

 

Concrete Society Award 2012

Byrne Looby are Winners of a Concrete Society award for their work on the Deephams Sewage Treatment Works in London. The award was received under the Civil Engineering Category. The project used innovative secant piling methods to construct a deep pumping station shaft, Byrne Looby was the specialist geotechnical designer J Murphy & Sons, the contractor.

ICE Award Winner John Mitchell Medal

The John Mitchell Medal is awarded annually by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) for the best paper in geotechnical practice, site-based innovation, or geotechnical safety. Byrne Looby Partners are honoured to be the recipients of the medal for the 2nd time. The award winning paper Retaining Walls in Dublin Boulder Clay is an evolution of Long and Looby’s 2009 paper examining the behaviour of deep excavations in Dublin.
