The scheme is a government sponsored rollout to provide broadband to areas of the country where it was previously unfeasible. Telecoms operator 3 were awarded the contract to build out the scheme. Throughout the scheme, we provided ongoing support for our client providing geotechnical and foundation certification services nationwide. We successfully managed the wide range and isolated nature of the site visits providing site supervision of the foundation and compound construction and also providing consultancy on access road construction and alternative foundation construction in the challenging ground conditions. The National Broadband Scheme brings broadband to areas of the country where it was previously unfeasible. Each site which generally contains support structures of 20 to 30m in height and equipment compounds.
