Jazan Economic City

A NEW EIA WAS REQUIRED FOR THE SUCESS OF THIS PROJECT

Jazan Economic City in the south west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently being developed as a modern, world class economic city intended to promote sustainable economic development in the region. In 2015, a revised masterplan was issued and a new EIA required to address the changes in this masterplan.

ByrneLooby was appointed to undertake the marine ecological surveys associated with the EIA on behalf of Saudi Aramco. The surveys include water and sediment sampling for 100 sites, deployment of two Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers, detailed Drop Down Video (DDV) Surveys to identify the benthic habitats present within the development footprint and Diver Based Ecological Surveys. ByrneLooby will also be providing a marine ecology baseline report for inclusion into the overall EIA.
