Arklow Water Supply Scheme

innovative technology and solutions were key for the success of this project

ByrneLooby were tasked with the development and implementation of a strategy for the upgrading and improvement of the Arklow water supply network.

Our client needed a preliminary design followed by procurement of infrastructure to secure additional supplies of potable water for Arklow Town.

We were appointed as PSDP for the €18m scheme. Our role included a design review of the preliminary report followed by detailed design, contract procurement and contract administration of the various elements in order to deliver the necessary infrastructure to the client.

We utilised innovative combinations of advance works contracts to provide for the immediate water supply needs of the town and used a DBO contract for water treatment works in order to maximise the use of innovative technology/ solutions and provide best value for money for the client.
